Description

       Uppu Narthangai is basically citron marinated in salt and sun-dried. This single pickle is the most popular cure for nausea. Be it during pregnancy or when  travelling up the winding hills on a summer holiday, it’s the best remedy.

      The most popular way to have this at home is in buttermilk rice. Mash rice along with citron, then add fresh buttermilk, mix well & serve as a cooling drink. This serves as a light meal on a hot day or when you aren't feeling too great.

How we prepare?

        Fresh citrons are used for making this. It is then cut, made slits and stuffed with salt then sundry it for about 6-8 days until it is completely dry. No artificial flavours or chemicals are added.
